Shane Rucker was born in Thousand Oaks, California in 1981. He graduated from California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI) in 2006 with a Bachelors Degree in History. While at CSUCI, he participated through internships at the Robert J. & Norma M. Lagomarsino Department of Archives & Special Collections, as well as the Commemorative Air Force Aviation Museum in Camarillo, California. He plans to continue his education by pursuing a Masters Degree in Public Administration.
Shane has been a part of the Paul & Hanley, LLC family since January of 2000 and has worked closely with Jerry Neil Paul, the Foundation's Founding Board Member. Shane has been dedicated to helping the victims of mesothelioma cancer and their families since he joined the Foundation. He has pledged to continue as a volunteer donating 100 percent of his efforts to the mission of the Mesothelioma Research Foundation of America.
The research work being done by Dr. Parkash Gill and his team of associates hits close to home for Shane. His father has installed countertops in homes throughout Southern California for the past 25 years. Last year Shane's father lost a long time friend and business partner to cancer of the Abdomen. By seeing the effects of the dreadful cancer disease Shane has become dedicated to the mission of making mesothelioma cancer and other cancers a thing of the past.
